My brother is getting his A-level examination results today. Well it’s night time in HK now so he should get it already. I don’t want to call, so I sent him an email instead. I don’t want to be calling just to hear the results. To me the result is not that important. But I don’t want to show that I don’t care either. Email is the best way I guess. No matter the result is good or not, I don’t want him to feel pressure. I remember how every time my family mentioned report card results, my spirits automatically dropped. So I know how it feels.

Date Breaker
The reasons why a date didn’t work out (based on guys’ point of view after dates):
- Bossy women (tell men what they should do)
- Uninteresting conversations
- Real person looks different from pictures (lower than expectations from pictures)
- Park Avenue Princess (women with expensive tastes)
- Seems to be interested in the guy’s money only
- Complainer / whiner

Long time no update. The hospital finally asked me to go for an “exam” to test out my Reiki skillz. I can either sit in for a Reiki 2 again, which takes up the whole day from 8am to 5pm, or I can just show up for the test from 5pm to 8pm. Taking Reiki 2 again would help me more, but it’s a whole day! I don’t really want to go for a whole day. So I’m still undecided.
Haven’t done any Reiki since I did it on Freddy 2 months ago. Doing Reiki actually takes a lot of time and effort. Because you have to stop doing everything else. I’m too lazy to stop myself from all the multi-tasking.

It’s year-end and everyone is uptight with meeting target. Me too……..the air in the office doesn’t feel right. Scary.
It’s end of June and we don’t need fans and AC’s yet. When is summer going to come? Arrgh.
I turned on the battery percentage on my iphone, and see it dropping 1% ever minute. From this morning (6:30) to now (9:00), my battery dropped from 100% to 70%. I think it won’t last till the end of the day. Geez.

Jenny
There’s this Asian girl who works at my gym. 80% of the time that I go to the gym, she was there to greet me. Her attitude towards me changed ever since I went to the spa and left a $15 tip for the masseuse. She had been nicer to me when she greeted me and we didn’t exchange conversations until she saw me going to the gym 4 times in one week, and those days were actually 80 degree weather. I was making fun of her having to stay indoors to work and she teased me about not being outside and going to the gym everyday. She was like, you should go maybe once a week or something, I go too much. But I don’t think she meant that – no way!
So we had been friendly with each other, every time I saw her I wanted to talk and get to know her more. She was interesting. She had blond hair and crazy makeup all the time. One time I asked if she dyed it blond again cuz it looked much lighter. She said no. A month ago she had dyed her hair completely black – finally looked like an Asian lady. She said she’s not sure if she liked it and asked me what I think. I said, “It’s you.” And she loved my answer! She said it was so true. Genuine conversation right there.
I haven’t seen her lately and today I finally saw her. She told me that her last day is tomorrow! My first reaction was blank, but after I left I felt really sad. There are so much things I wanted to say to her. She said she’s playing professional football in
Anyway, Jenny said I am the nicest Asian at the gym. I was like how many Asians come here? 3. I honestly want to know more about her. She is so easy to talk to. Maybe I’ll look for her in Facebook……but knowing that she will see my personal life, seems weird. I wanted to say that she was the motivation for me to go to the gym! Sigh………

Vegas Recap *edit*
Everyone was asking me how it went. I guess a lot happened during these short 2 days but it was too short for us to enjoy it. We were mostly tired from walking.
Itinerary:
Friday – traveled from 1 pm
We checked into Bellagio – checking in was long as hell because it was a long process. We had 2 rooms and the lady told us that if we want 2 Queen beds it’d have been a smoking room, located in 2 different towers. Or we can get king size bedroom. So me and Yee got the king size non-smoking, and Vinni and Eric got the 2 queens smoking. So it didn’t go smoothly on that one. Apparently Bellagio was filled up. Damn.
After we checked in we went to the Bellagio Buffet, where my coworker told me that’s the voted #1 buffet. When we tried out the food, it was average. But it cost $36 per person. Then we walked around on the strip and went to M & M World, and went to CVS to get some water. We were tired from walking and we went back to the hotel. Went to bed around 2:30. The weather there at night was not that hot, in the 70’s. No sweat without the sun.
Saturday – we met up at 11 am and we decided to eat dimsum at one of the Chinese place at the Bellagio. Hell when we sat down, we realized that the food – noodles, rice, congees, are all $17 and up. For a dish of beef chow foon - $18. For my congee with Chilean sea bass - $17. For other regular congee, $12. We each ordered something and then realized that dimsum is only $3.25 a dish!!! We should’ve ordered dimsum!!! The portion of the dimsum plate is smaller though, but they were really good. Total of the bill? Almost $200 with tips. Needless to say, breakfast was more expensive than then freaking buffet. We are not eating at Bellagio again.
Walked down the strip. We went into Wynn and I needed to get chips for my boss. I sat down at a Roulette table at Encore, the one next to Wynn and played. I won $40 and left. After that we went to the Fashion Show Mall to do some shopping. That mall is freaking huge, with Neiman Marcus, Saks, Bloomingdales, Macy’s, Dillards, Nordstrom. All these big department stores!!! Also other stores like Zara, Forever 21, Urban, etc. We all bought shoes from Dillard’s because they were wicked comfortable!! To add to this, my sandals were hurting so I was going everywhere to try to buy an extra pair of comfortable shoes. Even though we were tired, but it didn’t stop us from shopping! Yee and I each bought 2 pairs, and Vinni bought one. We were tired so I decided to play the Roulette at
Went to eat buffet at the Planet Hollywood per the suggestion of Eric, cuz he read somewhere (or on the ad) that it’s the best buffet in town. It was $26 per person. The food variety was very average – almost no seafood at all (and doesn’t have my favorite food – corn on the cob). We rather pay $10 more to eat good food. During the buffet, Vinni was enticed by the Peepshow advertisement. So we all went to see the show for 10:30. The show didn’t open until around 11….while we were waiting outside, this girl was passing out free passes to the club Prive at the Planet Hollywood. We were going to go clubbing anyways, so if this is free, why not? I guess we either misread the club entry wristlet or something. Because we had a short wait at the entrance of the club, but once we were at the door, we got charged $20 for girls and $30 for guy. They said the wristlet is only for free before 11 pm. We got cheated!!!
Anyway the Peepshow was pretty good. The commercial showed hot sexy girls dancing. But the show actually is half nudity, 100% singing and 90% dancing. It featured Mel B from Spice Girls – her singing was superb, along with the other singers. The sound quality was excellent – and tons of bling blings. The show is supposed to make all fantasies come true, for example, fairytales, naked cheerleaders, pole dancing, bathing in bathtubs – everything a guy would imagine in their fantasy. On our way out, Vinni realized that she left her pair of new shoes that she bought at the auditorium. She went back for it and the shoes were gone. While we waited for her outside, we saw those show girls leaving and saw Mel B running out of the auditorium into a room inside the Peepshow store. The girls look to me just average teenagers or young adults – can’t believe they were the ones dancing naked or half naked. Also saw this really hot guy, I think he was at the show. He was taking pictures with a bunch of hot girls, apparently friends of the show girls.
So back to the clubbing story. Our first round of drinks cost over $50. Eric paid for it so I didn’t know how much it cost. So I finished mine up quickly and bought a second glass for Yee and myself and paid $25. I was so in shock that I didn’t even want to tip the bartender. Later on I bought 2 tiny bottles of water for $12. Vinni pulled me and Yee to the dance floor to dance, and I notice several groups of Asians nearby. An Asian guy passed by and touched me by the waist. I was appalled and turned away from him. I still remember that perverted look he had. My god. I guess I don’t like to be touched. I never thought if I would like it or not if somebody touched me…but I guess it kicked in when it happened – I do not like it! Maybe I was insecure about my waist….maybe grabbing the booty is better – hahahah!!
After dancing for a while, Yee said that she was really dizzy. I think on the dance floor you can still stay up and dance if you’re dizzy. You will never fall down if you hold on to someone. So Yee went to the bathroom to rest, and she stayed there for…5 min, 10 min ….and then Vinni came in and said she’s dizzy too. And they stayed there for another 5 min, 10 min, 15 min. Meanwhile Yee puked and went into the bathroom to puke more. The cleaning lady inside called the security and told him that she was throwing up. He questioned Yee and asked if she threw up, she said yes. And it ended up it’s the club policy that she needs to leave if she throws up. We had to leave the club and sat at an empty space to rest for Yee and Vinni. It was 3 am. We sat there and Vinni was still to sick to move. We finally left at 3:30 am.
So there’s the story of how Yee got kicked out of the club by “throwing up”. It was hilarious because Asians don’t have tolerance and their club policy is really harsh for Asians, who throw up after 2 drinks. And I wanted to get drunk but it was too expensive and I didn’t have enough money anymore. My idea of clubbing to me is only cost $80 tops with like 5 rounds of drinks. I didn’t know it’s that expensive. No wonder I didn’t see anymore buying. And nobody was drunk.
Sunday:
Woke up and met up with them at 12. I guess 7 hours sleep is not bad. We went to eat brunch at a foodcourt. Fast food was bad there. It was really sunny so we were hot. I didn’t sweat at all on Saturday because it was cloudy. I guess when the sun is out, it makes a difference. I wasn’t putting on major sunblock like I expected because we were walking indoors mostly. All the casinos are connected somehow. But walking is just killing us. Sunday’s walking was more like a chore, like we have to finish the whole strip and go inside each casinos, even though there weren’t much to see.
We went to Tropicana to get some chips since we heard that it’s going to close pretty soon. So I stopped at a Roulette table and played with $40. There were 2 rounds when I was saying a number but I didn’t bet, and that number came out. I lost all my chips in the end. When a number comes up, buy it.
We stopped at
It was almost 6, and because Eric and Vinni’s Mystere show start at 9:30, we need to hurry up and go to Wynn for buffet. We chose Wynn because I read good reviews about it. And I saw Lisa Wong and her husband eating there on the newspaper. We gotta try that place. It’s only $35 a person, and there were so many West Coast Asians. Almost 7 or 8 out of 10 tables were Asians. And there were a lot of crab legs on their table. The food was much more elegant and nice and high quality than Planet Hollywood, and tastier than the Bellagio. Everything was just a notch higher there. It was well worth it.
We went back to the Bellagio to catch our ‘O’ show. It was damn good. I thought I couldn’t bring my camera. I really want to take a picture of the auditorium. Later on we found out that Eric and Vinni got moved to the 4th row from the back because the show didn’t fill up. When the show started, Eric was taking pictures and the manager came up and deleted the Mystere pics from his camera, haha. Shame on him. I finally know why people have to watch ‘O’ more than once because you can’t see everything just from one angle. Since I got to sit at the 3rd row, everything was really clear to me and I tried to focus on what they were wearing and the details of their makeup, costumes, there actions and movements etc. I didn’t care about the acrobats. I can always rewatch it at the video. The details are much more important. After the show it was 12 midnight and I still wanted to gamble more. So we found a table with a $10 minimum. I was winning at first, but Yee gotta sleep so she left and I started losing. On three rounds the number came out to be 00 – so I lost money 3 times and eventually lost everything. Even though I only lost $100, but really disappointed that I lost. I think I’m hooked on that game. I am really hooked. I was praying that they won’t build a full blown casino in MA….cuz I will be going there. I’m already thinking about going to Foxwoods to play some more. Sigh.
Went to bed at 1:30 and we had to wake up at 4:15 am for the flight. I only had less than 3 hours of sleep. Once we got on the plane in
So that’s all. We shouldn’t have stayed in Vegas for only 2 days. It was 80% walking, pretty tiring. There were a lot of people walking too, so our pace was very slow. More to add if I remember more.
