Things I need to do at Home

My home is a disaster. We had moved back a year ago and the stuff in my room had not been organized since after college graduation. Half of the stuff in my rooms are stuff that I don’t use anymore, which is taking up space to put the stuff that I use. Same with the clothes – I bought more clothes but I just piled them up. Most of the time I cannot find the top that I want to wear, partly because it is dark in the closet.

So I need to buy a few things and sort a few things…but I need a ride!! Arrgh…..

1)      Clean out closet – take out clothes I don’t wear anymore.

2)      Sort and hang up all the clothes!

3)      Buy some closet lights so I could see inside the closet

4)      Not enough space to put my clothes….need to buy a dresser for my room

5)      Some huge plastic containers to put junk

6)      Clean up the clutter in the spare room and put them into the plastic containers to create more space

7)      Put a comfy one person couch with ottoman next to the window for leisure reading

8)      Need to find some way to save the extra unusable space in the closet

Out of date furniture will make you suffer!! My room hasn’t changed since high school time. Things have CHANGED since high school. If I don’t change my room, I will go crazy!

Tarot

A lot of people think that Tarot is very accurate, but they don’t know the true mechanism of how the tarot cards work. I cannot guarantee this is 100% correct, but I am speaking from my own understanding and experiences. Again, even if you think I am wrong, you can’t prove it, because this is just how it is in the mystical world.

Tarot reading is a type of fortune telling. Amateurs (like I was 2-5 years ago) think that you are using the cards to tell you the fortune. Some websites said that you have to connect with your cards – does that make the cards holy? I don’t agree with connecting with the cards and making the cards sacred. After learning Reiki and getting into the New Age stuff, I found that tarot cards are just a medium for the spirit guides to communicate with you. Just like the Ouija Board – the spirits give you advice and messages through the cards. So that’s why if you give the regular playing cards a set of meanings, you can use it to do fortune telling too.

Heard of how other people say, the more you use the tarot cards, the more accurate it is? That’s because the cards (the energy that lies in there) are used to the way you read fortunes. You already have your own personalized standards for each card’s meaning. So, for an experienced reader, the same card would have a different meaning to each tarot reader. If you are an amateur, you’d just read off the book. Then everything will be the same. I didn’t say reading off the book is not accurate. It would be accurate too but the accuracy is lower. Remember – the cards come out because of a spirit’s guidance. Some people can interpret a card the wrong way, and that’s why you need the following…

Intuition. A good tarot reader, some say, is about telling a good story. That’s bull shit.  I think that if you try to tell a good story, it encourages you to lie and make up things. I’ve talked to a tarot reader who used to tell a story for each tarot spread. She talked for 5 to 10 minutes nonstop, giving a lot of details. But the details don’t have anything to do with the question, it’s just wasting your time and trying to confuse you. I hate those people. So, back to the point. To me, a good tarot reader will be using his or her own psychic ability or intuition to read. I have done readings for other people before, and as I type the answer to the question in an email, I’ve had thoughts that just jumped out of my head. That instinct is basically the psychic ability kicking in….you don’t really use your brain to analyze that much. Whatever that pops up is usually the best answer to give.

I’m feeling kinda depressed. I sprained my ankle this morning a block from my house on my way to work. I wanted to stay home but dun want my aunt to nag. So I rested for like 30 minutes and went to work, limping. I hate limping because I limped when I sprained my ankle in Macau 13 months ago and people were looking at me weird.

Anyways spraining the ankle makes me think why I have such bad luck, and brings back bad memories.

The reason why I sprained my ankle? I had on a large hood, I wasn’t looking where I was going, and my mind was filled with sad thoughts.

What's on my mind...

So much to think about for planning ahead:

-          Cherry Blossom Festival with Lily on 4/5 and 4/6. Plus walk around the Capitol and go to the zoo and other museums. (Pros – no one wants to go so far so this might be the only chance. Cons – those couple is artsy. They like to watch animals and go to art galleries. That might be boring for me)

-          Trip to Vegas is so cheap now. Normally 1 night hotel at Bellagio costs more than $400….but now air fare plus 3 nights is only - $435!!!!!!!

-          Need to book cruise for November…

-          Volunteer for Reiki treatments at Brigham and Women’s – it’s a 1 year commitment with 2 hrs of service a week. Does that mean I have to go every week? How flexible is their schedule? Can I do 4 hours every 2 weeks?

Watched some Taiwanese women’s show about how to make your 3 to 10 year old clothes look trendy again. So inspiring. Make me want to go shopping for accessories that could bring out clothes. So now I have an excuse to buy some unnecessary stuff (to other people), but an important part to save money for future trends. Also do not throw away the clothes! Just don’t think about wearing them out because it will give you an excuse to buy new clothes. Just put it aside and the trend will come back in 5 years. So when you take the old clothes out, they are still visibly “new”. Bad thing is – my aunt always take out my old clothes and use it to wipe the floor or something. Arrgggh.

Since my aunt was watching with me, she cannot say that I’ll be buying too much accessories!

Great – one more bad news for today. I had forgotten to pay my credit card for 3 months and I got hit with $100 of late fees and finance charges. Today is not going well at all. Too many issues.

I think I will stop spending to make up for my poor hundred dollars.

Wet snowy/rainy day

booking a European trip

going away on a cruise in November again

going to Europe plus a Mediterranean cruise

a 10 day trip

need to pack a big suitcase again

family disapproving

makes me feel very uneasy. Sigh………

Miracle

Yesterday I was in Chinatown and I witnessed a huge block of ice falling from the top of the 10 floor building. Below stood 4 old people chatting away. Miraculously the block of ice fell right next to the group, only 1 person’s space next to the old man. I saw the ice falling and landing next to him. I was so scared and started looking up when I walk next to the buildings.

That guy could have died! Is this a coincidence that the ice just missed the man??

Things to do before 30

Things I really want to do/try before I turn 30 (in 2011):

1)      Go to anywhere outside North America and Asia

2)      I want to eat Foie Gras

3)      Go back to HK by myself, and live in my parents’ place again

4)      Get a new job and/or career

5)      Save more money

6)      Go to Vegas and see Mystere and O

7)      Go to San Francisco

8)      Buy a car

9)      Get my money back from Tiff

10)  Go to 10 weddings (be invited for it)

11)  Get my own Louis Vuitton bag (and hopefully won’t get yelled at)

12)  Get my own Dior bag

Of course I only put achievable goals. For the unattainable (for now):

1)      Get my own condo / house

2)      Deploy my aunt to Hong Kong, or put her in elderly housing (hahahaaaaaaa, jk)

3)      Have voice lessons

4)      Learn how to drum, and have a set at home so I can jam music like Jay Chou  =)

5)      To be able to start a wedding planning, hair and makeup design business

Hey, maybe if I achieve all of these things above, both attainable and unattainable, maybe it would be an example for other people for true happiness and doing something that you really want to do. Hmm….I think if I can achieve the second list, I would be soooooo happy already! Especially the part about deploying my aunt, hahahaha………
